Mellivo’s Carniolan–Italian hybrid bee packages combine the best traits of two of the most trusted honey bee strains. By blending the Carniolan’s cold tolerance and efficient spring buildup with the Italian’s strong brood production and foraging drive, this hybrid creates a balanced, dependable colony suited for a wide range of climates and beekeeping styles.

Each package includes approximately 3 pounds of worker bees and a mated Carniolan–Italian hybrid queen, open-mated with diverse stock to promote strong genetics, colony stability, and long-term performance. These bees build comb quickly, respond fast to nectar flows, and are known for their calm, manageable temperament—making them a great choice for both beginners and experienced beekeepers.
